Leah has over 25 years of experience raising animals on a 3-acre ranch just outside of Rocky Mountain National Park. From a young age,  she had a deep passion for caring for animals. After graduating from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies, she decided to expand her horizons and begin a new chapter in Charleston, SC – where she could offer her knowledge from being raised in the country’s #1 most dog-friendly and healthiest state.

In just one year, she built a clientele base of over 150 people and nearly 200 dogs, and 50 cats.

She has provided the ultimate love, care, and respect that pets deserve. Her pup, Midori, was her inspiration for starting this business when she moved to the area and lost 3 corporate jobs in under a year. Rather than allowing that to diminish her flame or weaken her fiery spirit, she started Bark Circle Pet Care. Leah is eternally grateful to her family, friends, former pets, and her partner Myles for their unwavering support, which has been instrumental to her great success in this endeavor.

After Leah’s side hustle of dog walking through Rover blossomed into a full-fledged business amid challenging economic times, Bark Circle Pet Care has rapidly grown into Charleston’s most trusted pet care provider. We believe in treating every animal not for what they are, but for WHO they are.

Our approach is as unique as the animals we care for. Unlike standard pet services that offer only the basics, we invest deeply in understanding each animal’s personality, preferences, and behavior. At Bark Circle Pet Care, we constantly take note of key differences in animals not just based on their breed, age, size, or physical attributes- we foster our emotional, psychological understanding of living beings that is rooted in our innate connection to both nature and God.

As we continue to grow, with plans to expand our team of walkers and sitters by the Spring of 2025, our mission remains clear: to provide Charleston’s pets with ‘paw-sitively’ the most loving care, fostering a unique, personal relationship that goes far beyond simple needs.
